Charities can play a special role in thanking public sector employees in King County for their generosity and community support by participating in the Public Sector Employee Campaign and Recognition Kickoff Event. Opportunities include: staffing a charity booth, mingling with the crowd to meet, greet and thank employees. Spaces fill up quickly so please register ASAP! On October 3rd come ready to have fun! Wear your charity’s t-shirt, button or other identifier, and bring informational brochures, banners, posters and give-aways.  Remember your goal is to thank public sector employees!

2008 CFC Kickoff Poster

Pat Cashman will Emcee the 2008 CFC Launch at the Convention Center. This will be the twelfth year Pat has hosted the Event which draws over 2,000 federal, state, county, city and Port employees.

Pat has volunteered for major CFC events during that twelve year period helping King County Federal Employees raise nearly $32 million dollars for charity.

Pat has been a broadcast performer and writer in the Northwest for over twenty years.  Along the way, he has been a TV weatherman, talk show host, stand-up comedian, short story writer, newspaper columnist, magazine essayist, TV sports reporter, radio and TV voice-over announcer---and character voice talent in cartoons and video games. His is the announcer on Nintendo’s “Super Smash Bros”---currently the most popular video game in the world.

For several years, he was a featured performer, writer and producer on the Seattle-based sketch TV show “Almost Live!”--a program that was also syndicated nationally and appeared for two years on the Comedy Central network.  For his work on that show---and other TV efforts from performing to writing, directing to editing---Cashman has won dozens of Northwest Emmys, advertising awards, radio honors and medallions from the International Film and TV Festival of New York.

Cashman was an announcer and character actor on Disney’s much-honored “Bill Nye the Science Guy” Show---as well as PBS’s new “Eye’s of Nye.”  He is a writer/performer on the nationally syndicated “Biz Kids” show---and will soon be seen hosting a new weekly food program, broadcast locally on KCTS 9 television.

Cashman has also been the much-honored host of several popular Seattle radio shows---winning newspaper readers polls as “Favorite Radio Personality.”

He was just awarded ‘Western Washington’s Funniest Comedian” in a poll of KING TV “Evening Magazine” viewers.

Currently, he is a much-in-demand emcee and humorous, inspirational speaker for corporate gatherings and charitable fundraisers here and around the country.
